Meeting at the firedump with representatives of the airport board who expressed positive thoughts about my ideas.
As 25 years passed since my last active work with CCX I needed a fresh opinion of the aircrafts status. Conclusion after todays meeting and inventory were that the interior is beyond rescue as the original seats were removed and the interior overall were in rather bad shape already during our earlier works in the 90's.
Unfortunately it's not plausible to think it will ever be in display status as a museum piece allowing people to see it up close. However as a gateguard it would be quite easy to restore it without extensive costs.
Empty the hull totally to gain weight, remove landing gears and close the geardoors, fresh coat of paint and then up on a pole at the airport entrance!

Möte på plats med representanter från flygplatsledningen som ställde sig väldigt positiva till mina ideer.
Då det passerat 25 år sedan förra gången jag jobbade aktivt med CCX behövde jag bilda mig en uppfattning av flygplanets status idag. Kan konstateras att interiören spontant känns bortom all räddning då originalstolarna avlägsnats och inredningen i övrigt var rätt dålig redan under vårt räddningsförsök på 90-talet.
Det faller tyvärr inte inom sin rimlighet att ställa ut flygplanet som museiföremål för närmare publik granskning utan en enorm insats, men som gateguard skulle man kunna göra i ordning det med relativt begränsade medel.
Töm maskinen helt för att få ner vikten, bort med landställ, fäll in landställsluckor, häng upp propellrar, nytt lager med färg och sedan upp på fundament vid infarten till flygplatsen!
